This year, Dirty Nature is partnering with BottleRock to minimize our environmental footprint and promote a zero-waste initiative, making these festivals not just about great music and culture but also about making a positive impact on our planet. To achieve this, we're assembling a dedicated team of eco-warriors, and I immediately thought of you.
Dates & Shifts:
Work exchange roles are expected to work a 5-hour shift. 8am-12:30pm
Responsibilities:
Support the Environmental Festival Crew in promoting BottleRock, Zero Hero, and Dirty Nature’s zero-waste initiatives.
Assist in picking up trash and waste from the festival grounds, ensuring cleanliness across various sectors including food areas and general festival grounds.
Help in maintaining tables in food areas, ensuring waste materials are disposed of in the proper receptacles.
Sort waste into appropriate receptacles (recycling, compost, landfill) to support the festival's sustainability goals.
Engage with festival attendees, encouraging responsible waste disposal and educating on zero-waste practices.
Willing to wear whacky disposable waste attire accessories (provided by Dirty Nature).
Collaborate effectively with the environmental team and festival staff to ensure a clean, enjoyable festival experience for all attendees.
Requirements:
A passion for environmental sustainability and waste reduction.
Strong communication skills and a positive demeanor for engaging with festival attendees.
Comfortable working at a music festival; loud areas, crowds, fluctuating weather.
Willingness to perform physical tasks, including walking, standing for extended periods, and potentially lifting up to 25 pounds.
Must be available to work a 5-hour shift during the festival dates.
